Titel: Accelerating the Lean transformation in AstraZeneca by investing in Lean Leadership capability uplift
AstraZeneca Operations has been on a Lean journey for many years. Different areas of the business have had different starting points and also different approaches with both successes and some failures. A change in Top Leadership 2015 lifted Lean to be a more integral part of the Operations strategy and Lean became a more clear enabler for delivering the overall business performance. A success factor in this Lean transformation has been the increased senior leaders commitment and ownership as well as an increased learning and sharing both within AstraZeneca as well as with other companies.
A large investment in organizational capability uplift as well as individual capability uplift for both leaders and all employees has been in focus the last years to create the right conditions for a culture of continuous improvement and make Lean the way we work at every site and in every team.
