Title: Change starts from within – How Swedish Match have worked with continuous improvement through internal inclusion, culture and engagement within Supply Chain
Swedish Match develops, manufactures, and sells quality products with market leading brands. The Group’s product segments are Smokefree, Cigars, and Lights. The largest product segment is Smokefree, which includes nicotine pouches, snus, moist snuff and chewing tobacco. With its vision of a world without cigarettes, the Group is dedicated to the improvement of public health by offering attractive alternatives to cigarettes with its smokefree products. Production is located in seven countries with the majority of Group sales coming from the US and Scandinavia.
Niklas Sommargren and David Dreven leads and develops processes within Swedish Match’s Supply Chain. Through the Six Sigma program as the method for continuous improvement, their mission is about building good processes, working methods and machines that will help Swedish Match on the journey towards world class manufacturing.
In the presentation, Niklas and David will further explain the strategy to start change from within the organization. By presenting their three most critical success factors, this presentation will raise the importance of establishing culture, inclusion, engagement, communication and integration of the environmental strategy into their Six Sigma program.
Niklas Sommargren has over 20 years of experience in business development, where he started as an Improvement Coordinator within the automotive industry. With various positions, Niklas has had a focus on business development such as 5S, Six Sigma, daily management, TPU/TPM, Lean production, standardized working methods, the improvement process, and coaching in the area of business development.
For 13 years, Niklas has worked within Swedish Match, where he currently is Master Black Belt at the factory in Gothenburg.
