Title: When Quality took lead on the system development
For about 10 months, the very small Quality team of 2 persons took lead on- and coordinated the development of a new claims reporting system for the Nordic business of Power. It all started from zero with defining a basic prototype which soon evolved into cross functional improvement works with different stakeholders and experts across the business to create a tailormade solution. A quality system built for- and based on Power´s business processes was born.
Instead of buying a standard product we have been trough an intense work of Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control whilst we worked towards deadlines and termination of contract for outsourced claims handling.
Taking lead on- and coordinating this development where Quality have translated the process needs into development tickets and have challenged the system development team to come up with solutions – the output results are improved efficiency for Stores, Customer Service and Claims operators. On top we are integrating business data with claims data into efficient reports for the use of statistic quality tools for understanding variations and potentials in our processes for further continuous improvement works.
