Title: Technology's Future from Quality's Past
Serving the end user has always been at the center of the QA profession's work. But quality work is increasingly appearing in organizations, departments and individual roles that do not necessarily have the word "quality" in them. This talk will provide an overview of the centrality of serving end users in emerging products and how quality in new technologies is evolving to become more user-focused.
Austin S. Lin served as President of ASQ in 2020 where he focused on value creation for members, financial transparency, and cultural transformation for the Society’s 60,000 members.
Outside of ASQ, Austin works in the Silicon Valley tech industry where his quality and engineering work has spanned manufacturing, datacenter supplier quality and mobile software development. He resides in San Francisco.
